Yeah I did. I mean, Net Neutrality is a written theory and hasn’t been practiced in any actual population. We don’t know how NN will play out in the real world compared to the descriptions of it. It’s similar to communism on paper versus communism in practice. Perhaps some things will get lost in internet policing “translation” (see The Communist Party vs The theory of proletariat rule), but it’s too early to tell what’ll happen because of it. I think that the merger to Oath is something that Verizon had eyes for for a long time. Yahoo was not exactly doing well enough to fend off the pending merger. But, these are just my thoughts on it. I’d rather see how net neutrality plays out on tumblr before throwing my arms up and overreacting. Hopefully, basic civil liberties and some degree of free speech will swoop in and Superman this.
