Yeah I don’t think anon is TRYING to be rude. But a request is just that . A request. I’m not getting paid for it and it’s free art in the long run. I’ve been good with it since im a fairly new blog have barely been up for a month. And lots of people thankfully like my art. But now I’m starting to see why dome of my favorite art blogs don’t actually DO requests unless it relates to their own characters or immediate interests anymore. I like lis but o wouldn’t call myself a devout fan of it I only started doing can art just for fun when I saw @dentol-sfm with one if the models. So I wanted to do something based on those models that’s about it. Unfortunate for me almost 70% of this blog so far has been more art request and not what I actually want and that’s pretty bad yo. So I’m putting an immediate stop to it now.
I couldn’t agree more. Requests, ESPECIALLY requests that you’re not 100% interested in doing, should never be taking up a majority of your blog. If you draw for enjoyment and expression, it should be made up of what you want to see in you own artwork. If anything, I stick to considering requests from long time friends/fans over anons in my inbox (no offense to them). Never feel any sort of way when if an anon or in fact, ANYONE tries to shame you for not fulfilling the request exactly how they see fit. Trust me. It ain’t worth the drama.
