Talim likes to assert dominance very differently from Rin.  While Rin has to have a large chain of subordinates in order to feel more powerful, Talim usually relies on her own abilities and touts of her own beauty.  While both are on the side of being self centered, Talim has more confidence in her own physical ability in ways that Rin does not match at all.  However, because Talim spends so much of her time alone she can’t really bond with others past a mutual hatred for Rin and Morrigan (as she does with Lilith).
