Talim originally lived in a small port town to the country side with her mother and father. She was relatively adept at close range combat and handling a menagerie of weapons due to her father’s background as the town’s leading militia man. Eventually, Morrigan came upon the town disguised as a weary poor woman begging for shelter and food. Talim’s mother let the the woman stay in their home for a few months until her father revealed that he was having an extended affair with their guest.

Morrigan seduced Talim’s father one night and her charm and flirtation seeming put a hex over his mind. After coming back from an extended trip through the mountains to exchange fishscales for gold, Talim and her mother returned to Talim’s father as a blank husk; Morrigan harvested his soul. The village itself was burned to the ground and their house guest was nowhere to be found. Talim’s mother fell into a deep depression, disappearing on a boat with sailors to start a new life without her daughter. Being forced to find ways to make quick money, Talim turned to prostitution to collect enough gold for food and shelter.

As a result, she began to see the power she holds with her sexuality; that’s when she decided to become a mistress. In order to gain the abilities to assert dominance over peasants and villagers, Talim turned to studying the dark arts of manipulating the environment, specifically the wind. Crafting such abilities would cost Talim a portion of her soul (which is why she has horns) in exchange for control over the wind element. Her eventual outfit was a gift from the first seamstress Talim extorted with her supernatural abilities, a pattern she would use to build up enough wealth for her modest manor ironically built just outside the port.

Upon Rin being created and usurped control of the estate and her many slaves, servants and allies, Talim directed her motives of revenge at Rin. Especially after capturing Rin once early on, when she wasn’t as heavily guarded, she got arousal out of torturing an Aensland. However, she heavily regrets simply toying with Rin rather than just killing her, because now getting her hands on either her, her son Lucian or Morrigan is nearly improbable.
