Beatrix isn’t very emotional, she’s usually too high strung on energy and excitement to properly express her feelings. However, she is prone to having outbursts if she isn’t in the right mood.
Lucian on the other hand, takes after his mother greatly; he’s incredibly emotionally sensitive often feeling bad for things that aren’t his fault. Also, as a clammy romantic mommas boy, he breaks down quickly if someone is bullying him, running to Cloud or Rin for comfort.
