Ankura invites Rin and the family to his summer retreat, something he was working on for the entire year. Rin was generous enough to revive his two handmaidens which he has been enjoying the presence of quite explicitly.
Hey, not only is this a vehicle to draw Ankura again, it’s also a great segue into drawing summer versions of the Aensland Estate characters!
Oh yeah, AND his two amazonian handmaidens, sisters Kamyl and Kamyra. Even though Ankura had hundreds of handmaidens and servants working under him during his rule, all of them passed away from natural causes, including the two sisters. Ankura vacated the throne and disappeared from his kingdom, fearing they would discover his witchcraft used to preserve his youth for centuries. He mourned losing his two most loyal maidens but eventually found solace in Morrigan and Lilith Aensland, living amongst them as a tenant. He constantly begged of Morrigan to revive Kamyl and Kamyra, but Morrigan callously ignored his pleas although she is adept at raising the dead. Upon Rin’s creation and usurping of the throne, Ankura requested the revival of his maidens again, but this time he was granted his wishes. Rin, unlike Morrigan, wants to create a relationship with her allies, fulfilling their wishes when she can.
Both Kamyl and Kamyra are dutiful, but Kamyl isn’t as shy as her younger sister. They are happy to work for their king, but not so much when Rin demands the same level of respect…
