• if they could have an SU character in Smash Bros – Ian, Toby Jones (executive producer on OKKO), and Rebecca all day Garnet. Kat says she plays defensively, so Steven. Joe says Hopper and Hoppy, since they were already drawn as Smash characters in “Say Uncle”
• Would the Zircons drink coffee? – Joe says definitely. Rebecca says their bodies can’t absorb caffeine, so it’d do nothing for them, but if they thought it’d help them win a case, then sure. Kat says it’d have to be for the flavor.
• How would Andy and Holly Blue interact if they ever met? – they laugh a bit. Rebecca says their situations are so different, they’d really have nothing to relate over other than being cranky. It’d really be a context thing. Rebecca appreciates the interest in both of them tho
• Which character would you relate to the most as a child? – Rebecca says Ruby, Kat says Connie, and Joe says Steven
• What were the inspirations behind Lars and Sadie’s season 5 arcs? – Rebecca finds parallels between Lars and Sadie/Greg and Rose – Lars is a magical pink person going on intergalactic adventures, Sadie is working on her rock career. They represent two sides of Steven’s life – his magic side and human side – that she felt formed a nice symmetry to her.
